Meet Romy, Our Founder

Portrait by Mary Tauk

Sunny Side Up is run by Romy Raad, a seasoned brand builder, growth strategist, and UX researcher with a decade of international experience across North America and the Middle East.

Operating between Montreal and Dubai, Romy’s design thinking and entrepreneurial drive have shaped successful brand strategies for top-tier clients like Bordeaux Wines, Northwell Health, The Michelin Guide, and LVMH.

Previously, Romy co-founded Metabrew, an award-winning superfood beverage startup in New York, where she led brand development, sales growth, and strategic partnerships. Her achievements include recognition at Harvard Business School and Victoria Fine Foods pitch competitions, as well as a feature on The Pitch podcast, similar to ABC's hit TV series Shark Tank.

Born and raised in Lebanon, Romy is fluent in Arabic, French, and English. She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons, The New School, NY. Beyond her entrepreneurial endeavors, she mentors aspiring business leaders at Parsons and startup accelerators, and enjoys exploring new cultures and cooking for loved ones in her leisure time.
